Paper Boats Before Dawn is a single-path interactive film set during a night of relentless rain. Xu Zhinan, a night-shift courier, accepts an urgent medicine delivery to Tangxi's old water alley. When navigation fails and the streets begin to flood, a series of paper boats appears in the water. Each boat carries a small clue toward a safer path. Follow the boats through a quiet café, a flooded stone lane, an old umbrella shop, and beneath South Huai Bridge. There, Xu Zhinan finds Xiaoman, a child who has been folding the boats to ask for help while the water rises around her.
